Tanya Yvette Naps'Biography

Tanya believes that the Real Estate we chose to purchase, lease, or routinely occupy is where our dreams reside. This philosophy lies at the heart of her client relationships. It allows her to not only discover the physical features her clients seek, but to also help them unlock the possibilities form and function hold.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tanya brings to the welcoming shores of Santa Cruz, her passions for Art, Design, and Education to impact her role as a Real Estate Agent.
Tanya trained in classical Beaux Arts tradition at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She then earned a BFA at The University of Pennsylvania, where she also minored in Italian Language. Subsequently, she received a graduate Certificate of Achievement in Business from The Florida Institute of Technology. Like her art and design work, her Real Estate practice focuses on a desire to elevate daily life, supporting the notion that living consciously and aesthetically is, in itself, an art. Appreciation for a property's character, familiarity with design and construction, along with over ten years of experience as an educator support Tanya's ability to adeptly guide her clients.
Previous outreach affiliations and activities include work in Marketing and Communications for Shake-A-Leg Miami, a nonprofit adaptive sailing organization, dedicated to improving lives through access to Biscayne Bay. This experience has led her to volunteer at the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors (BAADS) in San Francisco. Before moving from Miami, Tanya established and led the inner-city Kelsey Pharr Elementary Mural Arts Club. She mentored one of her student from Haiti along the path to win a first place art award at the annual Haitian History Bee and Arts Challenge. She also partnered with the award winning Bowes Dermatology in Miami to produce an exhibition of student and professional artwork at the Coral Gables Museum. The event was covered by Telemundo reporter, Sofia Lachapelle, and successfully raised 15,000 dollars to provide medical outreach in the Dominican Republic. Tanya remains active in The Penn Club of Northern California and contributes to The Arts Council Santa Cruz and to area public schools as a SPECTRA Teaching Artist.
